Is our house a home for you ?

(Isaiah,65:17-25) Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.
Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.
They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, says the Lord.

Dear brothers and sisters at Elmendorf,

Praise the Lord, for He is so good to us ! In this land of plenty we are blessed to know Jesus. Blessed to know Jesus, blessed to follow his example, trying to live out the Kingdom of God here on this earth.
You know how difficult that sometimes can be on the prairies of America. We know how difficult that is in our little crowded country Holland, far away in the Old Europe.
We have been praying a lot to the Lord Almighty to guide us in what our future on this world, following his Son, will be.
Bas, our son, was alone and reading the Bible last week. He read Mark 4:3-20, the parable of the sower.
What kind of seed are we ? We hear the word, accept it, but how can we produce a crop - thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown ? Is there enough seed in the soil ?
Can we bring less fortunate seed (not already eaten by the birds) from other places to good soil ?! What about Bas, Anne, Thijs, Mike, Stefan + Gabrielle and their little children, Johann + Annie with their children Peter, Katharina, John, Nico, Julia and Henry ? What about Pierre, Alexander + Dana and their family ? Eugen + Juliana and many many seeds unknown to us ......... ?
Can we produce a crop just on our own ? No, not really.
Where is the good soil to be found ? Is it in Best, Mountain Lake or Tasmania ?
Can we produce a crop working together ? Yes, when the Lord wants us to do it, we can.
Who wants to live, pray and work with us ?

Can we please ask you to pray with us and help us to find practical answers to these big questions regarding our life here on this earth.

Your brother in the Lord,

Kees
